Interview with Indie Butterflies Dream

I got to do an interview with Indie Butterflies Dream! Check it out now!

trtlz: Tell me about Indie Butterflies Dream. Who are the members? What kind of band would you say you are? How long have you been in this band together?

IBD: Indie Butterflies Dream is my new rock project. Me, Jackob and my producer Roven H. have worked together for a several years on some different projects. Last year i felt that i'm ready to record all the new music  that i wrote aside, it was different, fresh. I gathered my old band back and we started rehearsing the new music. It's fun but not simple being back on a band and some changes are being made these days so ready for surprises soon... trtlz: You have 2 amazing songs out right now. "Seven" and "Piece of Mind". I'm sure you already know, I love both by the way. Haha. Do you plan on releasing any more songs soon?

IBD: Thanks! I know 🙏 You are a great supporter - Thank you for that. This means alot. For indie band or artist any support is a huge help because we do it all by ourselves. So i try to give back love (And promotion) to any supporter or radio that support. They even got to choose the 'Piece of mind' release out of our Instagram options post. Great choice. Next release is planned in May...and  i still don't know which one of the songs will be released. I'm waiting to feel the vibes of May and then to decide.

trtlz: Can you tell me a little about Seven? What made you choose that as the first single over the other songs?

IBD: 'Seven' was the first song i wrote from this album. It is about my father who passed away. Writing this song took alot of emotions out of me and i felt i needed to get my fathers approval for the album, so this song covers that. My father was my biggest supporter over the years and he passed away six years ago almost seven.

trtlz: My dad also passed away so this song actually means a lot to me as well. I'm not good at sharing my own feelings so it's nice to have a song to listen to that kind of expresses them for me. This one definitely does that. I really appreciate this song.

trtlz: Now out of the two, Piece of Mind is my favorite. What inspired that song?

IBD: I have to say it is my favorite too. I woke up one night with the lyrics in my head, grabbed my guitar and after five minutes song was complete. Usually it takes some more time. Afterwards i thought about the lyrics alot, and realized it can be understood in many ways. For me it's about not to wait for salvation in life, be your own savior. trtlz: You guys recently released the video for Piece of Mind. Who thought of the idea for that video? Is there anything you'd want your listeners to know about it? IBD: Well it's funny how sometime lack of budget can lead you to great creativity. I had 30$ for video budget...wich is like no budget at all actually, so I decided to take a chance on Fivver video makers wich is usually kinda corny video service...but had no other choice. Never used it before but took the chance. I orderd the service and got a nice vid but not interesting. So...i reversed the movie. I was very surprised of the outcome.

trtlz: Yes! I remember you kind of mentioned that before about reversing it. It definitely turned out to be a cool video! Haha, that's kind of an amazing story behind it.  trtlz: Have you played any shows together yet as Indie Butterflies Dream?

IBD: Not yet. Patiently rehearsing...can't wait. trtlz: What is it like being in Indie Butterflies Dream? What are the best parts about it? Are there any challenges you deal with from it?

IBD: So many challenging moments every day...the best part is the music itself. Being heard, being liked in so many places in the world and i feel this is only the beginning. trtlz: You seem to be doing a fantastic job on getting your music out there to the rest of the world! All of these awesome radio stations and podcasts playing your songs. Every time I see that, I think it's amazing! Has that been an easy thing or difficult?

IBD: 24/7 on it. I do all the promotion by myself and it takes alot of time. But i enjoy the fruits. It is a dream come true. trtlz: I also love the fan letters you post on Instagram. How awesome is that? It makes me smile every single time, so I can imagine how you feel.

IBD: Yes. This is amazing. People from all over the world. I somtimes get them every day. You wake up in the morning to find out someone somewhere is so touched by the music so they write you their feelings and blessing it gives me the power to win every battle during the day. And surely i write back.

trtlz: Ya I've always been a huge music fan since I was a kid and even now I'm always so stoked when an artist I like actually responds back and shows appreciation, it's nice. I'm sure they all appreciate it as well. trtlz: If you could play a show anywhere, where would you want to play?

IBD: Wow. Good question...anytime too? Woodstock 😛 But it would be nice performing in Madison Square Garden.

trtlz: Haha I'm not gonna lie, I wouldn't mind a trip back in time to Woodstock either! But if that can't happen, Madison Square Garden is a pretty good choice. I've never been there, so if that happens, maybe I'll have to go too! trtlz: Are there any other artists you hope to be able to meet or play with? IBD: I came across some really good new musicians and bands lately that i hope to collaborate with some day in the future. As for well known musicians...i would love to play with Therapy?  trtlz: Last question. Is there anything else you would like everyone to know about Indie Butterflies Dream?

IBD:  We are recording the full album these days. Hoping to release it this year. Follow us for more good stuff. Don't forget to breathe. We love you!
