Even though I feel Funny Face House is best known for their fun grungy kind of punkish rock music (and for good reason, cause it's awesome!), I chose to write about "Magnolia" because it's still got that grunge feel, but it's a little more chill and mellow and I really like that side of them as well.
Magnolia starts with like a sweet guitar intro that is definitely mood setting. I love how the remaining instruments gradually join it at just the right time.
There are definitely some sad emotions pouring out into this song, which you can feel in both the music itself, as well as the lyrics, such as "I used to hold you close, but now we fade away. " And "we only have a few days to grow and die".
I absolutely love the end part, which is pretty much just instrumental because the music in this particular song is just so beautiful to me.
Funny Face House is such a unique band with some electrifying tunes. If you're a fan of rock and cool people, this is the perfect combination for you!
