Here's a new song released by dylan xo. It's a little different from his usual work, but also very much dylan xo at the same time.
First, the music for this track (produced by borso) is such a solid beat and I'm a huge fan of the guitar sound. It's got a real "Desperado" vibe, but fits really well. dylan xo's vocals on borso's beat is such a great combination and they really know how to put a song together to ensure it leaves a lasting impression.
Moving on to the lyrics, dylan xo definitely has a few choice words to share with some of the other artists in the industry, as it is clearly a diss track. I like to call it a mature diss track (haha) because I can totally understand where he is coming from. He spits lyrics like "But you on your grind making money off your lies . Sure these kids wouldn't be too happy if they saw the side of yourself that you hide. You're a liar, not inclined to show your true colors, guess it's money over pride huh."
I've noticed dylan xo is very authentic in his lyrics, so the subject of this song really comes from the heart. He is all about being real and making a difference to his listeners and having a genuine connection with them. I feel this song is more about calling artists out to care more about that over money or fame, instead of being just a straight diss.
