Skatin' Into Sunset EP- Mikail.

Updated: Apr 22, 2019

Mikail. has blessed us with a new EP and it is amazing. The EP has that grungy rock beat vibe that meshes so well with Mikail.'s unique vocal style. I can see why it's called "Skatin' Into Sunset" because if my foot was not currently broken, I'd be cruising to this on the longboard. This EP is packed with songs that are full of emotion and rockin' beats.

It technically starts off with the track Infinite Tsukuyomi, which was released prior to the rest of the EP, as a single. This one really has that strong grunge rock style and it works well with the theme about struggling with pain and frustrations of life. This one is really appealing because not only are the lyrics so relatable, but the music is also very catchy.

In the second track, Go Away?, Mikail. expresses the battles of the mind and the challenges of being an underrated artist, and life in general. That feeling is conveyed really well. This song has a deeper, dirtier sound, but pairs perfectly with the lyrics.

Stay!, Track #3, is a more mellow tune, but still has the rock sound going. This one is exciting because this is the first time Mikail. made a beat for one of his songs with his guitar! Stay! is one of my favorite tracks from the EP.

Number 4, Demons, is a little different because this one is more of a hip hop type beat and I also feel more chill than the others. It's actually another favorite; I really like the laid-back feeling it has, but with such raw lyrics. I also really love the ending where it gets slowed down. It's a nice touch for sure.

The last track (song 5) is a bonus track called Pain Killer and is fun because it's a live version of a song released prior. Here's an interesting little fact, I also found out it was performed at a school concert!

I really like this EP a lot. It definitely reveals a lot about Mikail.'s style and how he has evolved as an artist.
